When my mother was diagnosed with dementia at the same time I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, I knew it was time to take charge and understand why this was happening. I was not going to accept the doctors’ assertions that there was nothing I could do, and that it “just happens to some people”.
Back then, there was no training I could take from any of the now-famous doctors like Dr. Dale Bredesen or Dr. Daniel Amen, both of whom have been able to REVERSE dementia with their own protocols. I since have studied under both of these brain-health experts, but back then, I had to figure it out for myself.
Weeks and months of studying brought me to understand the why; then I had to work out how to fix it.
Fortunately, with my early career doing legal research, and my experience as a harpist and sound therapist, I learned to tap into the power of music to get started on a healthier path.
Eventually, after studying and implementing many additional practices, I was able to completely reverse my own auto-immune disease, which I learned is actually a risk factor for dementia, and to begin helping friends and family.
Unfortunately, it was too late to make real difference for Mom as she was very far advanced by the time she was diagnosed and I figured out what could be the best course of action for her. All we could do was make her as comfortable and happy as possible. She passed away in the throes of advanced dementia in December of 2019.
Watching her disappear, piece by piece, was an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. That is why I've made it my mission in life to help everyone hold onto their memories and nurture a healthier, happier brain.
Bringing together my own research and experience, studying with Dr. Amen and Dr. Bredesen, and working with other brain health mentors and coaches, I’ve developed what I believe is the most enjoyable and easiest-to-follow program to get started with the protocols that can stop cognitive decline in its tracks.
