I've been investigating the healing power of sound and music for more than 20 years. In fact, I was so passionate about it that, in 2000, my partner and I co-authored the groundbreaking primer on the subject: The Healing Sound of Music.
It was the first book to include a CD of harp and guitar music created especially to help readers experience and utilize the healing power of music as they read. It was translated into 6 languages, and continues to bring education and comfort to people seeking ways to utilize the power of sound and music for their own healing.
But many things have changed since then, not the least of which is the terrible increase in the incidence of dementia and Alzheimer's disease over the past two decades. This has struck home three times now.... both of my grandmothers died with Alzheimer's, and my mother is now in a nursing home with the same condition.
Seeing how this ruthless condition destroyed the minds of three phenomenal women made me search for the cause of this malady, and I have made it my mission to do everything I can to ensure I do not succumb to it.
In the process, I have made some startling discoveries, and am anxious to share them with everyone who could in any way be affected by this dreaded condition.
To say I am passionate about this is perhaps an understatement, because the more I learn, the angrier I get. This disease is preventable, and is absolutely treatable - although not with drugs.
We have the power to protect ourselves and our loved ones from the ravages of Alzheimer's and dementia, and it is NEVER too early to start.
You have the power to control your own destiny. Let me help you with the information I've gleaned and protocols I've been developing over this past decade. The power of music is one piece of the puzzle - let's put the rest together to ensure we keep our healthy, whole minds!

I began writing professionally in 1987, and have written basically everything. Newspaper and magazine columns, screenplays, magazine articles and self-help books. Through all of these projects, the one thing I have learned, and the one thing that is common to all of them is that...
.... you must have a GOAL for the piece, the story, the book, whatever.
Without it, you flounder and get discouraged. Your writing is disjointed, and quite frankly, there is no reason for anyone to read it.
So when I hear people say, 'I want to be a writer", or "I've always wanted to write a book," I say, "Why? What is the goal?" Is it to help others, to share an experience, or transform the lives of others?
Do you have a message or story that needs to be told? Have you overcome trials and tribulations that have resulted in a system, plan or secret that can help others?
Then let's figure out how best to share your wisdom and get it out to the people that need your help.
To write and market your self-help or transformation book, you must start with your goal. To help you with that, I've created a worksheet that will help you define the goal of your book, who it is for, and why YOU are the person to help them.
Once you've done this, you will be well on your way to sharing your message, and maybe, just maybe, changing the world one reader at a time.
How much time do you have to grab your reader's interest?
About 5 seconds.
And what do they read first?
The back cover. Yes, you have to have a representative, catchy front cover. But it's the back cover that cinches the deal. A brilliant back cover copy can make people decide to open itand spend their hard-earned money to buy your book.
So how do you hook them with your back page?
